Bilastine is a new antihistamine (registered 2015) (Labixten®)

Different antihistamines have different classifications. Many of the common oral antihistamines have P1 status, antihistamines in external preparations (not more than 1%) have NP status.

There are currently seven antihistamines which have S3 status.

S3 Antihistamines:

• Antazoline
• Astemizole
• Bilastine
• Doxylamine
• Mebhydrolin
• Terfenadine
• Tripelennamine

All S3 drugs are also on the S1 list.
